Internship Responsibilities
Functional Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Internship
While in the clinic, interns will be responsible for observing patient care, helping to carry out rehabilitation exercises with injured patients, and assist in other various clinical duties assigned by the clinical instructor.
While in the gym, interns will be responsible for shadowing a head trainer or sports chiropractor, helping to coach group fitness class, learning how to evaluate athletes and general population individuals, and learning how to program workouts around injuries.
Both clinic and gym interns will be responsible for keeping up with required readings from the clinical site coordinator or sports chiropractor. Discussions will be held around these readings to help broaden the knowledge of the intern and learn the applicability of this information in either a gym or clinic setting.
