Mid back pain or Thoracic pain can come from multiple different causes. Arthritis, disc herniations and mechanical pain can contribute to mid back pain. In the vast majority of the population suffering from mid back pain, poor posture and muscle imbalance are usually involved. With as much as we sit throughout the day we tend to created tightness/stiffness in the mid back and as a result the structures can get overloaded and the result can be pain.
A common condition we see associated with not only mid back pain but also neck pain is upper cross syndrome. This condition involves an imbalance of the muscle of these regions and results in a mechanical overload of the tissues.
